We support medical device manufacturers in launching new products as well as in conducting regular testing of products and equipment in everyday hospital and clinic settings.

In this position, you will be responsible for the entire technical infrastructure of our testing laboratory and will play a crucial role in ensuring that our test and analysis results meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Your Responsibilities

Technical Management and Equipment Oversight

  • Strategic planning, coordination, and implementation of maintenance, calibration, and repair measures for analytical, measurement, and testing equipment
  • Ensuring the availability, reliability, and standards-compliant operation of all laboratory and testing systems
  • Analyzing technical malfunctions and independently initiating and overseeing troubleshooting and repairs
  • Continuous optimization of technical processes and equipment availability

Facility Management & Infrastructure

  • verall responsibility for the facility management of the testing laboratory
  • Ensuring the proper functioning of building services, HVAC systems, electrical installations, and other infrastructure facilities
  • Planning and managing technical modernization and capital investment projects

Quality, Safety, and Compliance

  • Responsibility for compliance with all relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring and documentation of maintenance, calibration, and safety measures
  • Serving as the authorized representative for occupational safety
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and occupational safety regulations

Leadership and Organization

  • Technical and disciplinary leadership of the technical department
  • Management and optimization of resources, personnel, and operational planning
  • Budget responsibility for technology, maintenance, and facility management
  • Planning and monitoring of capital expenditures, spare parts management, and external services

Service Provider and Supplier Management

  • • Management and coordination of external service partners and suppliers
  • • Negotiation of maintenance, service, and support contracts
  • • Ensuring high service quality while maintaining a cost-effective structure

IT & Technical Customer Support

  • Responsibility for the laboratory’s technical IT infrastructure
  • Liaison between the laboratory, engineering, IT, and management
  • Technical point of contact for customer projects
  • Consulting on the selection, installation, and integration of testing and inspection systems
  • Solution-oriented support for technical issues and complex customer requirements

Your qualifications

  • A successfully completed degree in engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation technology, information technology, or a comparable qualification
  • Initial professional experience in a technical leadership role, ideally in a laboratory, testing, pharmaceutical, or industrial setting
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance, calibration, and repair of technical systems
  • Experience in facility management as well as in working with quality management systems and regulatory requirements
  • Knowledge of occupational safety and health
  • Strong leadership skills as well as an entrepreneurial mindset and approach
  • A high sense of responsibility, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in using IT systems and technical documentation
